Witch and Wizard

Aloha,

I'm doing yet another book review on yet another book! Huh, well, I guess this is a book blog. But before I tell you about this book, I want to share something, that I thought was kinda funny. So, we do this reading thing at the library near us, where you have to read a certain amount of minutes this summer. It's due, like August. I got it Monday and I was like, We only have to read about 500 minutes, you cannot be serious. Needless to say, I finished it in like 3 days. It was too easy, no offense to those of you who to reading that much is more of a challenge, but it was. Anyway onto that book. It was called Witch and Wizard and it was by James Patterson. He's a great author, BTW. Let's do that book review now.

This is the cover, just so you know.
To sum it all up: The New Order (N.O.) is passed banning many things. The N.O. is a law kind of. Soldiers come in the middle of the night to get Whitford and Wisteria Allgood, said to be a witch and wizard, though the kids didn't know it. After being sent to jail, then unfair court, sentenced to death, and sent to a prison that is supposed keep them from using their powers, they aren't sure what they're going to do. With Whit to be executed in a month or so when he turns 18, time is running out. But with some help of a lost girlfriend, a ton of kids, and a ferret, they might be able to fulfill the prophecy.

What I thought: It was great. I wanted to keep reading. All of the books by James Patterson that I have read, have been awesome, this one was too! I wanted to know what was going to happen.

Genre: Dystopian (futuristic) I think that's how you spell it.

Number of pages: 320

Who's it for: Middle School, I think

Warnings: It was pretty good, I think it's fine.

My Star Rating: 4 stars

I hope you read it and any other books James Patterson.

Love and witches,
~AJ

  3. You had me at Witch and Wizard :D.
I'm a huge Harry Potter freak, and I'm totally convinced that Hogwarts made a mistake and didn't give me my letter saying that I'm a wizard :P. So, I'm trying to find other books that'll please me as much as the Harry Potter series (impossible), and I'm starting with books that have "wizard" in the title or summary. And this seems to fit the bill so...I've got some library hunting to do!
